A year ago, if you'd told me I'd be interviewing Rapha's CEO in front of a live Austin audience, I would have laughed.
Rapha is one of the most groundbreaking lifestyle brands in any consumer category — not just cycling. And Fran Millar is a driving force in the sport that we all love. Before becoming CEO last September, she was a founding member of Team Sky — the team behind seven Tour de France titles — managed Mark Cavendish and Geraint Thomas before they were household names, and served as deputy CEO of the Ineos 1:59 Challenge that helped Eliud Kipchoge break the two-hour marathon barrier. Behind-the-scenes royalty is an understatement.
Last year I started something simple: interviewing local legends like Scott Baldwin, Allison Morrison, Rob Taylor, Amos Schwartzfarb, and Noah Kagan in front of live audiences — people who fascinate and inspire me, and I thought would do the same for this community. Bringing Fran into that tradition is surreal, and I can't wait to share it with you.
P.S. Kicking off the day with a group ride that morning — details at the link.
